INDONESIAN COMMUNITY FOR HUMAN RIGHTS
Background
In the era of reformation the improvement of the human rights condition in Indonesia is placed in the highest priority. The favorable situation of human rights in various fields of life is urgently needed for the continuation of national welfare and justice.
In line with the State's ideology and the idea of State under the rule of law as well as the implementation of the concept of international responsibility, the whole community is responsible for the promotion and observance of human rights. In addition, the National Guidelines for Development and the Human Rights National Plan of Action state that the promotion of human rights can only be achieved through the participation of various elements of the community.
Aware of its responsibility as an academic society, the Faculty of Law Padjadjaran University which has potential human resources in legal education, research, and conducting community services aims to participate in promoting human rights in Indonesia by establishing the Indonesian Community for Human Rights.
Objectives
The improvement of human rights awareness of the community through education, research, and dissemination of information.
